My YouTube Debut and Are You in a Place to Be Happy?

I’m so excited today to introduce a new project I’m starting! I think this has been a long time coming, whether I consciously knew it or not. For those of you who have been reading my blog for a long time, you’ll remember the post, Who’s Writing This Anyway?, in which I talk about having a hard time opening up and allowing my own personal struggles to fuel my writing. It recently hit me, though, that if I continue to do that, I’m cutting myself of from the possibility of making connections with readers and with those of you online. As soon as I accepted that, I knew right away what I wanted to talk about.

Over the past five years or so, personal development has been at the forefront of my mind. I’ve read books, attended seminars, and been introduced to people who have incredible things to say about finding balance, striving for success and searching for happiness. I’m learning more all the time, and while each day is still has it’s struggles, I find myself now at the happiest point I’ve ever been in my life–not because I have any more than I’ve ever had, but because I see my life and life in general in a happier light. These are the stories and the positive messages I want to share with you.

Check out my first video below! I hope you enjoy it! If you do, please let me know if this is something you would like to see regularly.

Wishing you all a very happy day!

Jamie Raintree is the author of Perfectly Undone and Midnight at the Wandering Vineyard. She is a voracious student of life, which is why she became a writer, where she could put all that acquired information to good use. She is a mother of two, a wife, a businesswoman, a nature-lover, and a wannabe yogi. She also teaches writers about business and productivity. Since the setting is always an important part of her books, she is happy to call the Rocky Mountains of Northern Colorado her home and inspiration.

  1. Nice job on the video, Jamie. I suspect I would be stuttering, blushing, and saying “Uh” a lot.

I hope moving to Northern Colorado has turned out to be as great for you and your family as it has been for my husband and me. We retired here in 1998 and still love it.

    1. Lol! Thanks. I took a speech class in high school but even so, I did a LOT of takes!

It has been such a great move for us. We have no intention of leaving any time soon! 🙂

  2. Beautifully done and, yes, I would like to see more. You handled yourself well. I turn into a mute when I know a camera is on me.

You continue to be such a wonderful inspiration. Thank you.

    1. Lol! It’s probably because I’ve spent so much time on stage in my life that I’m immune to it now.

I’m so glad you like it! I’ve got a lot of ideas!
